Last year, Q4, an Upside Member company founded by Darrell Heaps, filed for IPO leading to an Upside exit. Q4 is a capital markets communication company that  is transforming the way public companies, investors, and investment banks connect, communicate and engage.  With the completion of the IPO, Q4 is looking to pursue various growth strategies through investments in sales and marketing, as well as enhancing and expanding product offerings. Darrell and the team pledged with Upside in 2017 and will be donating the proceeds of his exit to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

Q4 is donating their Upside to CAMH. ​​CAMH is Canada's largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world's leading research centres in its field. Q4’s donation will go towards the groundbreaking research being done to develop innovative health promotion and preventive strategies.

The Upside Foundation's philanthropic model enables founders of early-stage, high-growth companies to build social responsibility into their business by donating small portions of equity to charity. Q4’s acquisition has enabled the Foundation to facilitate almost $3 million in charitable donations. ‍
